Hi Myanopop,
Yes, it is normal during the early stages, for the created crease to only last a few minutes.
Some people's double eyelids will be able to last a few hours right from the start. And then there are some people whose creases, like yours, will only last a few minutes.
In cases like yours, where the double eyelid is still fragile, you must take extra care for the crease. Doing this will accelerate the crease's progress to the next stage where you won't need to care as much and yet the crease will still survive.
Here are instructions on what to be aware of when taking care of the crease:

So you want me to not rub my eyes when washing my face in the morning? But my skin is still sticky after taking the tapes off. How do I get rid of the stickiness then?
OK, not to worry. Just leave the eyelid as is. In the early stages, until you can get at least a minimum of 6 hours crease time, please do not rub the eyelid. This is a crucial period your skin needs in order for it to learn to fold.
If you follow these instructions, tomorrow's results should be longer than 5 minutes and if you keep that up for the entire week, your crease time should be in the hours by then.
Please let us know how it goes tomorrow.

It lasted an hour this time and it felt much more comfortable wearing the tapes to sleep. But I still have a question... since I am not washing out the glue, isn't it the glue that is making the double eyelid stay?
Hi Myanopop,
Good question. The residual glue is there to support the crease while the skin's normal process of being puffy in the morning subsides. If you were to use an incorrect Opti-fold tape size, thus targeting a skin tension line that is not in harmony with your eyelid profile, there is no amount of residual glue that can make the double eyelid sustain -- not to mention have the crease progress as expressed by an increase in crease-time.
By the end of week 2, your crease-time should be anywhere between 3-6 hours, so keep going!
This tape is amazing!! Last night I was so tired that i just slept without tapes... but still the crease is here. Although the crease is starting to get weak but it has never lasted this long by itself. I'll have to use tapes tonight for sire.
First day. The crease didn't even last 5 minutes before getting weak. Is this normal??

To remove the stickiness, use this:
Does the double eyelid get weak only after washing your eyes in the morning?
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes,after removing the sticky residue the double eyelid disappears.

i just want to update. It's now lasting 5 hours and the crease can almost make it throughout the whole day! I can definitely see the improvement.
Excellent. If you find the crease succeeds for some days and not on others, just post an update here.
will do
it's now lasting 8 hours. but the past two days my double eyelid could only stay 3 hours. Why is that?
Were you getting around 6-8 hours of sleep during those days?
Actually no... I had to finish up an assignment for school. I'll try to sleep more then. Thanks for the advice!
You're welcome :)

Thanks for the update! Can you put up a picture of how the crease looks now these days?
