So today i lost my double eyelid on my left eye. Idk why but I think it has to do with my sleep schedule. As for now I have Christmas holiday and I can stay awake how many hours I want. but it has occured a problem with my left eye. i mean like whenever I wake up very late my left double eyelid is first a single eyelid but later it turns into double eyelid. Today I can't see my double eyelid. i tried to sleep again but it didn't help. What should I do? im very concerned about my left eye. Will my left double eyelid disappear forever.? Or can I recover? If so what should I do please help
I think you can recover it because it happened so recently. Go to this page and find the slide show called "Eyelid Exercises"Try putting some skin lotion after you do the eyelid exercises. If after you sleep tonight and tomorrow the eyelid skin is not back to normal, then repeat the eyelid exercises. The skin will remember the stimulation from the exercise, so even if it takes a while to make this become more permanent, each additional time you do this will become easier.
Yes, start having a normal sleeping schedule of 6-8 hours. If your skin is really puffy in the morning, it is usually due to something about your recent sleep schedule. Puffy skin will 'pop' out the crease, which makes the crease shallow and eventually disappear. When the puffiness subsides, skin is more loose and is able to fold upon itself to make the crease reappear.
Ok just woke up and I still my left eye hasnt turned into a double eyelid. Does that mean I've lost my double eyelid forever? Can double eyelid disappear forever? I'm scared. Should I get good sleep frequently in order to see result? Does sleep posture affect my double eyelids. Cause I always sleep with no pillow and have my back straight. Please help
Nvm it worked. I just slept with a pillow this time and woke up. MY EYELID IS BACK. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I AM SO GLAS THAT THIS WORKES THIS TIME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH YOURE A LIFE SAVER. Btw I also have one question about my right eye. Well my right eye isn't a double eyelid. I used to have a double eyelid on the right eye but for some reason it disappeare. this happened one year ago(28th Nov 2018)my right eye double eyelid disappeared. is it possible to recover it back by tracing eyelid line excersise?
Since your right eye's double eyelid disappeared a year ago, it may be a bit harder to restore by just the eyelid exercises. But, do give it a try and let us know, too.
Regarding your left eye, that is great news! However, still keep doing the eyelid exercises for about a week. As your body's hormones changes from deep sleep to awakening, the skin will be puffy, so make sure you do the eyelid exercises to help support the crease.
From what I've heard the skin will only get puffy by water retention or consuming too much sodium before going to bed. Can't I just stick around with getting good sleep and stay hydrated instead of doing the eyelid excersise? I also have another question. Does sleeping posture affect my left double eyelid? Cause I usually sleep with no pillow and have my back straight. Is that good?
"Can't I just stick around with getting good sleep and stay hydrated instead of doing the eyelid exercise?"
I wouldn't risk it, because you want all factors to disproportionately favor the crease. So, still get good sleep and avoid salt foods at night -- but keep doing the eyelid exercises. The mechanical stress loads exerted triggers mechanotransduction pathways in the skin, which directly influences the skin's memory.
Also, sleeping with a pillow does help:
Sleeping flat on your back for prolonged periods of time makes it easier for water to be retained in the facial tissues. If the head were elevated by use of extra pillows or an adjustable bed, excess water would be assisted to flow out from that region, accumulating in other body parts of lower elevation in relation to your head. One should identify the right elevation level since excessive elevation of head can lead to neck pain and backaches.
There are more factors that contributes to water retention. For additional details, go to this LINK. At the bottom of the page, read up on this part:
Thanks for the information! So starting today I will be doing eyelid excersise. And heres how it looks:
Left double eyelid:
1) Excersise for upper eyelid by browsing my eyebrows high with my fingers and squeeze my eyelids strongly. Hold for 5 seconds. 10reps x 2 sets. Do it daily
Right eye:
1) Excersise for upper eyelid by browsing my eyebrows high with my fingers and squeeze my eyelids strongly. Hold for 5 seconds. 10reps x 2 sets. Do it daily
2) Tracing the eyelid. 30 reps x 3sets. Do it daily
If I keep doing these excersises will my eyelid crease get stronger by the time? And should I focus more on the upper eyelid area?
For your left eye, yes, the eyelid exercises should be enough to make the double eyelid strong again. For your right eye, have hope that it will work. In the event that it doesn't work, the Opti-fold bandages will, so at least you're not out of options and have to go for surgery.
Remember to do the 'holding crease line' exercise and do it for 5 minutes in the morning.
Update: Hi its me again. Its been almost 2 months since I started to excersise my left double eyelid and it has gotten so far and so Good and I still excersise the left double eyelid daily. However I have a double eyelid on my right eye thats covered some kind of extra skin and I was wondering if there are and ways to shrink, tighten or reduce the saggy looking skin that way my double eyelid on my right eye han become visible. From what Ive heard the egg white helps alot to tighten saggy droppy skin. Is it true

Besides eyelid tape. is there any other way to recover my double eyelid. Like start sleeping early and apply skin lotion on the eyelid?

Thank you so much! I'll make sure to go to the bed pretty early and stay hydrated
You're welcome. I hope it works out, and let us know how it goes!
Thanks! ill let you know the resul.

When you do the tracing exercise, what happens? Can the crease temporarily form? Can it only form if you flex your eyelids?
